Beautiful Disaster

DAY THREE
after stayin for 2 days in cheju island..we took a domestic flight in the morning to daegu..also a countryside in Korea. There i visited a temple..which was totally different from those buddhist temples..well, jus went there to explore the buildings..nth else. After which..we took a long walk back to the bus and headed for lunch. Lunch was pretty special- Toufu soup with dishes and of course..rice :D I LOVED THE TOUFU!!! doubt u can get any of that in s'pore..i mean..it's handmade!! haha. Anw..after which..the lady boss gave us a treat- and that was to try their handmade fried toufu skin!!! it's really surprising to me bcoz i thought it wld b like salty..but it was sweet!! Jus like a snack..that u can eat it anytime of the day..meant to bring it back to s'pore and share it with u all..but..i've alrdy finished the whole packet b4 reaching even the airport in Korea. HEHE. Sorrie!! Guess u'd have to go to Korea to eat it :D Anw...after which we went to an underground shopping centre ( cool right?!) which had many mini shops...and that was where i bought a grey colour long sleeved jacket :D SUPER NICE!!! to wear..of course xD didn't understand wad the sales girl was sayin..due to language barrier..but still managed to buy the sweater..and got a free mickey mouse necklace coz of tt!!! HAHA. ONe thing gd abt these shops was tt..if u purchase any gds from their store..they WILL definitely give u a free gift. So..it's worth it shopping there..in KOREA. OKay..after all tt walking..it was a time for REST!! Thus, we headed for the SPA VILLAGE!!!! They let us try the spa itself, as well as the unique spa therapy called "doctor fish spa". It is believed to relieve all the sores and aches on ur feet esp. after a long walk...and this is how it works : jus place ur feet into the pond of water..and let all the FISHES swim towards ur feet and that's where they'll "bite" ur feet - in other words..bite off the dead skin on ur feet. When i first placed my feet into the water, the fish IMMEDIATELY swam towards my feet and they started "biting" my feet!! IT was SOO TICKLISH!!!! so i retrieved my feet out of the water..but after a while..i put it back into the water again..jus for experience sake..otherwise..i won't have anymore chance to feel that way again. HAHA. It was simply a ticklish experience xD Well, after that therapy, i BOLDLY went to try the typical SPA which is common among all Koreans. I emphasise BOLDLY bcoz NO ONE in my grp except myself, my sis, mum and 2 other aunties dared to try it. WhY? Simply bcoz we all HAD TO STRIP NAKED. I'm serious, NAKED. Er, they will, of course, give u a towel which was jus enough to either cover ur front or back. SO, up to u. HAHA. But of coz, i covered my front. Got pretty embarassed at first..but after seeing those koreans walking in and out of the spa place daringly, i followed suit. HAHA. Ppl ranging from as young as 5 to as old as 80 were seen using the spa. Of coz, males on one side, females on the other. Despite being naked, i thoroughly enjoyed the spa..it was really soothing and relaxing. So i say, there's nth to b ashamed abt while using the spa, i mean..those ppl there are of the same gender, so there's nth to b embarassed or shy abt. :D After washing up..we had our dinner @ the spa village..nth special..jus bibimbap ( rice in a stonepot mixed with vegetables ) just like rojak :D It's simply heavenly..jus a simple meal like these made our stomaches full. After dinner, went to the hotel to check in and bcoz it was STILL EARLY, the whole grp gathered @ the coffee house and had cakes and coffee..as dessert, b4 gg back to our rooms to rest :D

DAY FOUR
checked out of the hotel..and took a bus to another city, Jeonju. It was a pretty long trip..coz we took the bus..but after arriving there..immediatly we went to visit yet another temple. But it was rather tiring..coz we had to walk a super long distance in order to reach that temple which was at the foot of a mountain. But as i said, we went there for the scenary..nth else. Other than the temple, the scenary was magnificent. The weather was also jus nice..so it was worth the while gg there. xD Well, these scenic spots take up quite a bit of time..so by the time we finished, it was lunch time!! so we went for lunch, and then went on to check in the hotel..before we took a walk behind the hotel to visit a wine-making factory..after which..went to visit souvenir shops, lots n lots of them and then walked a distance to take a look @ a ancestral place of Korea..which showed all the diff. Kings back in the olden days...all that sight-seeing took us the whole afternoon..and by evening..went to eat dinner..at abt 6 plus..which was alrdy dark then. Nth much in jeonju actually...but it was a gd experience though. Also @ the ctryside. After tt, went back to the hotel to rest for the night again.

DAY FIVE
another day again!! anw..checked out of the hotel. AGAIN. And took the bus to another city, SEOUL. AT LAST. BACK @ SEOUL AGAIN. But b4 tt..we went to Sangsoo herbland, and that was where we met an eccentric scientist or rather..the CEO of this herbland. He was rather crazy actually, taking the sample of the herbs..showing it to us n bcoz a few of us were seated @ the back row..he THREW the HERBS TO US!!! GOSH..tt was sooo...uncouth!!! then whenever we answered his qns correctly, he would throw a bottle of herb water to us...so my mum was pretty afraid of him after that...and then, he was really DRAMATIC. HE got volunteers from my grp, and asked them to act as lovers, that when they ate the herb, the couple falls in love with each other. BUt there again, it was pretty hilarious. HAHA. After all that drama, we went to take a look @ all the herbs..and bought the korean chilli paste from there!!! xD After which, we took the bus to SEoul City..and there we went for lunch, followed by gg to Everland, Korea's largest theme park ever. WEll, it was soon @ night and we then went for dinner, Samgye Tang!! ( GINSENG CHICKEN SOUP) b4 checkin into the RAMADA hotel, a 5 star hotel. I tell u..that hotel was the BEST. WHy? Coz they had a COMPUTER IN THE ROOM!!! PLUS, there was FREE INTERNET ACCESS!!! SO, i took the oppurtunity to use the internet that day. :D So, we rested for the night @ that hotel.
