Beautiful Disaster

Well, i guess i'll b saying one big chunk of stuff if i were to tell u about my experience there..coz it's really really a lot a lot..pics won't b up so fast..coz i'm still gonna load some more into my com...so that'll keep u guys in anticipation..don't worry!! i'll try my best to upload them a.s.a.p.

Hmm..where do i start? i guess i'll have to begin on my first day in New York. When we all touched down @ NY's airport, we headed immediately to the Metropolitan Museum ( if that's how u spell it) and was there for abt 4 hrs.. ( u noe the museum's really big and they had different sections). So almost my whole day was gone just spending my time there. Well, my grp came out early so we just sat at the steps outside the museum to enjoy the beautiful singing by some africans who were singing on the streets. They really sounded excellent!! and i guess they must have sung there for like many hours...just to earn their keep. Really pity them...just to earn a living..): But nevertheless..they managed to gain attention from the audience and really sang their hearts out (: Okay, besides that, i ordered a hot dog ( or 2 rather) from those roadside stalls and guess what...THEY TASTED REALLY GD!!! that's why later i had another one which in total i ate 2. After which, we headed back to the hotel and by then it was alrdy approaching night which was pretty cold..freezing cold..

I guess u wouldn't be interested to noe what i did on the first night coz it would somehow bore u..so i won't elaborate on that..shall move on to the second day.

Second day..we headed to the Guggenheim museum...and this museum really wowed me..coz it's totally different from the museum which we visited a day ago...i could really see the creativity that this artist had...he made those sculptures using different kinds of materials such as clay, etc. So i guess it was worth visiting (: After which, we headed back to the hotel for more practices with our choir as well as a select choir practice with the other choirs..this was the first day we saw and got to noe the other choirs. And after all the practices..it was time for us to head to the Rockerfella Centre which was 67 STOREYS HIGH!! Oh man, it was really exciting and pretty scary too as it was really high..i was able to see every single building (though it was at night) from where i was and this experience was really memorable...but at the same time, it was REALLY REALLY FREEZING COLD. Even my jacket could not stop the wind from blowing through my skin. ): But overall, i still enjoyed it.

Okay, moving on to the third day...it was one of the most enjoyable days that i had..why? coz i went for a CRUISE!!! Oh man..it's really really another memorable experience in my whole life. i shall just talk abt what's up in the cruise coz the morning was just practices and more practices...so nothing much. Okay, other than a sumptuous meal on the cruise which was actually a buffet..there was also a dance floor for all choirs to dance. Well, my choir was pretty reluctant to dance but the rest of the other choirs all had representatives to dance @ the dance floor. Although it wasn't some compeititon or game, but it would b pretty embarassing if there wasn't any like representative to dance least ppl think that you're like soo not pro-active. So abigail, carolyn, jamie and I took the initiative and went to DANCE with them!!! haha (: It was kinda disco setting and it was pretty cool just dancing with those americans...I was really high at that moment..coz everyone was feeling high as well...a thrilling experience i must say (: but whoever who's reading this post...pls don't tell it to everyone k? Coz i didn't disclose this to my parents..least they scold me or something..:)

OKay, coming to the fourth day...it was the day of my COMPETITION!!! Yes, by human nature, i'm like really excited but nervous at the same time althought i might pretend not to b..but still..haha (: Well, we warmed up our voices and probably was ready to get up on stage..but honestly after we performed, some of us ( the seniors) felt that it wasn't our best...but nevertheless, when they annouced the results in the evening..we got a GOLD!!!! I was pretty shocked and happy at the same time..(: Later in the night we had our select choir performance..wasn't our best as compared to the rehearsal..so..i just hope the audience enjoyed it. (:

Fifth and the last day...was the day we went to the harlem church and later SHOPPING!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!! haha...okay. For shopping we went to TImes Square but somehow it didn't really impress me..was pretty disappointed that they didn't have much boutique shops like esprit, zara, topshop, etc. But later found out that most of this shops were at FIFTH AVENUE. But when in realised that..there wasn't much time left to shop. So i was rather depressed. Managed to buy Levis Jeans though. HAHA. Okay, and i bought a "I love NY" bag too!!! :D and more...

WEll, i soo wanna go back to NY again!! haven't shopped to the fullest yet!! ahhh!!! hopefully i can go there again..and u guys might wanna consider going there too i suppose? Will be uploading a few pics of the city and blah blah. JUST A FEW!! but will upload more the next time (: Tatas everyone!! xD
